Tori lays it all out there~the good.the bad.her triumphs and downfalls. What an gem. She is honest and openly candid.hello surfer chef debacle.LOL. A candid, eloquently heartfelt glimpse into the life of Tori Spelling. I wish more celeb-books were like this.instead of anecdotal fluff pieces. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cant wait to read the other two. WTG Tori.
She's an extraordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances. Best of the three books, Tori is very funny and candid. You feel like you're chatting with your best girlfriend and it is fun. Tori does come off as very "needy" and seems to be high maintenence in the emotional support department, but what the heck, take the good with the bad and laugh with her. You'll like it.
This book was a fast read and very entertaining. Gave me a different perspective of Tori Spelling and her life growing up. I admire her for wanting to do her own thing and be recognized by what she has done for herself and not what others think has been given to her having the famous Spelling name and father.
I think our parents way of loving is not what we want for our kids, it may be generational. Kudo's to Tori for being such a loving mom and trying to change and not to pass on the same stuff as her folks.
I could not help but compare her childhood to mine. I found it difficult to feel bad for her because she was raised in such a wealthy home.
I read this book pretty quickly and I enjoyed it. But I guess what we all have in common as people is wanting to feel loved and excepted and hugged by our parents and sadly many of us don't get that from our parents, so in that way we are really alike I guess it doesn't matter how rich or poor you are you want and need that from your folks.
I was beaten and molested and unloved by more than one step father and had 1 or 2 dresses that I wore everyday as a child. She experienced none of that, so I almost got my violin out.
There is no doubt she is loved but not in the way she wanted. I enjoyed this book and recommend it, it is a way different life than most of us and very interesting.
My wife loved to listen to this on the car ride to Atlanta - helped time pass quickly & she enjoyed listening to Tori read her own book.
